Minoxidil was originally a medication used to treat high blood pressure and heart attacks.

It works by relaxing the blood vessels and increasing blood flow. It is also used to treat hair loss, but it is not known how the medicine works to grow hair. Because of the potential side effects associated with Minoxidil, we do not use it in RevuCell.
